Apple in another patent battle

he he... If you can dish it out, you should be able to take it too...

LOL, irony at its finest:

In court filings, Apple has asked a judge to rule that MobileMedia’s patents are invalid as a matter of law, and that there is no “legally sufficient” basis to find MobileMedia has proven infringement.

As many agree, SteveJ was a classy finisher ... without an original thought in his head ...

Interesting. Apple will handle this easily, but it will also end up pushing up the cost of Android for the android manufacturers.
Which will end up being good for MS/Nokia (WP8)
And interestingly enough, these patents originated with Nokia

As many people that have no great achievements of their own agree.

Others, not so much

I love it when Apple has to suck the Big One!

Been a lot of this lately, nice to see Apple on it's knees for a change head bobbing up and down! :D

So are you against suing over patents, or, as I suspect, just another typical anti-Apple poser?

Apple opened the can of worms, they must now live with the back lash, and I think it might backfire on them in a few years!

Well, Samsung, HTC etc are also violating these patents. And after Apple losing in court over it, there is now precedent and they will have to cough up a licence fee for every Android device (Much as they currently do for MS's patents), which will raise the cost per device for the manufacturers. It will soon be more expensive than WP8, at which point they will switch, especially as MS offers patent protection

Nah, Apple have been sued many times over the 10 years. Never effected them much.
It's a normal cost of doing business

Call it what you will, I'll consider the source... there is no more slavering rabid Apple Crusader on these forums, actually on a thousand forums than JStrike! :D

I'm just happy to see Apple on their knees, mouth wide open, taking the shaft.

Yep, one of the anti-Apple herd

Nobody can argue with that, cerebus was approaching his level at one point but seems to have come back to reality lately.

JStrike is still the alpha ram or king of the iflock around these parts :p

It may set a precedent, but so far there is no evidence that Samsung etc. violate this patent.

I think it is a bit too Apple-optimistic to believe that this will cause vendors to switch to WP8...

What? Samsung most certainly violate it as well.

Sounds like another dumb patent that should never have been granted.
