Apple iPad 3 rumour roundup

It all sounds good and stuff, but given that this is Apple I won't believe anything until it is released and we know for sure.

Well the retina display is happening.

The leaked displays are the exact resolution rumoured.

Every Fanboy gets so excited with the leaked rumors relating to Apple products...

The rumors are ALWAYS better than what they end up selling us.
Sure it will be better than the current tech but just how good? - No one knows, so shut up and wait!

+1

Just wait for it to be released..

Guys guys guys, this is how Apple markets their products, rumours. They hype up the product SOOO much before the time which pretty much guarantees them pre-sales, then release a mediocre (at best) product. It's probably just an updated version of the iPad 2, lets not get our hopes up until we receive word from Apply themselves...

Given Apple’s history of adopting latest generation technology

read this and lol'd.

Yeah, latest technology.. :/ ALL I WANT IS A USB TO TRANSFER FILES AT MY F;/!&ING WILL!!!

I'm telling you, as soon as this iPad is properly outdated or breaks I am getting an Android. My friends convinced me that Apple is the way to go... They are idiots.

But who know, maybe the when the iPad 4 comes out Apple would've come to their senses :(

/off topic rant

I suspect we're going to see two new iPads: iPad 2S (no retina display but higher specs) at current price points and a more expensive iPad 3 with retina display. I say this because I just cannot see a device with such a large retina display selling at the same price points as the current iPad 2. The retina displays are much more expensive (why the iPhone 4 is so expensive ... and the iPad 3 will be a much larger iPhone 4).

The other suspicion I have is that the retina display will first come to a smaller 8" iPad. Makes sense to keep the price down until economy of scale makes a larger 10" retina display iPad more affordable.

The pre-announced 3rd party replacement retina displays sell for around $120.

I really hope they adopts a strategy like they do with the ipods, where each time they introduce a new model, they make the entry level units more affordable at the same time.
