I have the early version iPad, lets call it iPad1 bought in late 2010. Its running IOS5 as it cannot be upgraded further. Does Apple not have obligation to keep this operating system stable? Other than trying to get us to buy a new iPad every year? I want to extract my moneys worth on this one BUT it crashes every 5 minutes. I cannot open an article and read to the end without the screen resetting. Anyone else with this problem? Its getting worse with every passing day. Imust add , my android device does not have this problem!

How old is your Android device? My iPad2 runs iOS7 fine, try doing a backup and restore the device to it's original state.

You have a 3 to 4 year old Android tablet that is still vaguely usable? Which one?

Have you taken your device to an Apple store to see if they can help you with a device reset or something? I see plenty of iPad 1's and 2's chugging along happily.

Jees, the original iPad is ancient in tech terms now. Just get a new one

Easy said than done, if budget allows.

Every year a new iPad comes out and keeping up with technology isn't financially advisable if budget doesn't allow.

I was about to purchase an iPad 2 for R3000, Cellular+64 GB, new in box as it was clear out.
