This will be the worst iPhone design since the terrible bend gate of the iPhone 6....

Apple are moving like the iPhone 6 never happened :X3:

I’m assuming this 17 Air will need to be a Titanium frame like the Pros? They cannot do this in an Aluminium frame or it will be a repeat of the iPhone 6.

It just seems like a futile exercise to chase making a thin phone in 2025, but I guess this could land well with some people who chase vanity over everything else.

Samsung actually started it this time around with their obsession with the Galaxy S25 edge

and in Samsungs case why obsess over the edge when they could have just kept on selling the Vanilla S25 and S25+ ...... seems like Apple is also falling into the same trap of trying to create a new unnecessary trend that was needed by absolutely no-one

I had no idea such a thing as a S25 Edge even existed until now. :X3:
I see the Samsung’s battery suffered as well due to this, all the way down to 3900mAh battery compared to S25+ 4900mAh, while they basically have the same size screen etc…S25 Edge also loses a Camera, gives up the Optical zoom and just keeps the Main 200MP and 12MP Ultrawide.

Yah, I don’t see the point of all of this at all. Far too much compromise going on just to shave off a couple of mm.

from the looks of it the iphone air wont even have to be in your back pocket when you sit down - theres going to be millions of claims for those things breaking by Bluetooth or Wi-fi (without being physically touched)
 
WSJ: Apple is considering price hike for iPhone 17 series

A new report by The Wall Street Journal suggests that Apple is considering a price hike for the iPhone 17 series. The decision is yet to be finalized and is reportedly unrelated to the US tariffs on Chinese imports.

Despite the newly agreed 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs between Washington and Beijing, Chinese goods entering the US are still subject to a combined 30% levy. Cupertino will not attribute the upcoming iPhone 17 series price hike to the tariff war between the US and China.

According to the new report, which is backed by people familiar with the matter, Apple will aim to justify the iPhone 17 price hike with the design changes, including the ultra-thin and light iPhone 17 Air, and new features. The 17 Pro models are expected to get an updated camera island, aluminum frame and reverse wireless charging.

Well..I am now officially up for an upgrade on my main line, going to have to wait patiently for 17 Pro Max.
15 Pro Max still going very strong, battery health at 95%.

I am hoping the 17 PM will be worthwhile jump on Camera, RAM and possibly see Apple Intelligence get a few more hardware reliant features that are good.

Still a solid phone the 11 Pro.
My 11 Pro Max grew legs in a bar, lol, absolutely loved using that phone, it set a new benchmark for iPhone battery life and iPhone design because we are still on that tri-camera setup more than 5 years later.

Sucks. I don't get why people steal iPhones, it's not like they can be used much with activation lock and all.
 
Still on 12 Pro here. Think I will get this one.
