Apple iPhone 17 thread

I am super impressed with the battery life. I have yet to charge the phone since I got it on Wednesday even though I have used it the same amount or if not more from my 14 Pro.

Same here - have a dual sim setup and the battery lasts me 2 days on 17 Pro where my 15 Pro would last a day.
 
Placed my order with Vodacom on the 5th of November and I'm still waiting. Called them last week to confirm when stock was coming in, they told me that last Friday they would be receiving stock, and I'm on that list that will be receiving. Now when I call all of a sudden there is no stock and they don't know when it's coming in. Eish, tired of waiting for this, it wouldn't bother me as much if Vodacom could give me a proper estimate.

I ordered 27 October.
I called again last Friday the 14th, first they told me it still says on back order, then the lady told me they are getting stock today, so I will get a SMS from the courier on Monday. I then told her I know they are getting stock every Friday, and asked how sure is she that I will receive mine this week, she then said because she can see it on the system.

I got no call or SMS today, I actually wanted to call again late afternoon but totally forgot.

Someone at work did iStore on Vodacom - October 25th. Still being told no stock, now it may be another month... I don't know why we have stock issues i don't see it in the news in other countries?
 
I have a spare 17 Pro Cosmic Orange 512GB - Extended iCare, sitting in my cupboard in the box still if anyone needs one and doesn't want to wait.

I stuffed up my order and was supposed to order a Pro Max Pre Order (Which I did later and am now using)

On another note, my 17 Pro Max is a big step up from the 16 Pro Max, I am a 6-7 Hour screen usage a day person and I have not had to charge this phone once during the day yet. Screen usage is always at 100% as well. Impressed.

The heat dissipation is definitely a little better too. Not perfect, but better.

My paint on my phone has not yet peeled off either :ROFL:

She told me they can not see on the system whether the next stock they receive will cover a specific back order.
She did however tell me she can see that this Friday 21 Nov, they will receive 900 units of the iPhone 17 256 GB in black which is a much bigger order than before.

I also asked her whether changing to a different colour will speed things up, she said she can't say, all colours of the base iPhone 17 are on back order.

Seems like we're all getting told different things. The person I spoke to said that, changing the colour will just make things worse as you will start from the bottom again, I ordered the Sage colour and the person basically just told me to wait until this Friday to see if I get an sms or not, which is honestly a very weak answer. I guess I will have to wait since they only want to order black phones
