iPhone 17 series early Geekbench scores show minor CPU gains

The iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air are now official, and a few Geekbench runs have emerged, giving us our first glimpse at how the Apple A19 and A19 Pro chips fare in synthetic benchmarks.

iPhone 17 seems impressive, the Pro and Pro Max not so much and the Air is just trash

These phones have become so stupidly powerful that I no longer even flinch when I see the GB scores, lol, and I pretty much ignore Apple’s “it’s 50% more” or “2x faster” highlights, all I care for is power efficiency at this point.

I have owned enough iPhones to know they will always be overpowered for what they are.

What is truly exciting for me here is the significant increase in RAM + significantly larger battery + vapour chamber and finally the upgrades to all the antennas.

Using my 15 Pro Max to type this and thinking to myself I doubt I will feel a major change in performance coming from 15 PM to 17 PM as the 15 PM itself is so stupidly powerful that it was able to get Apple Intelligence and continues to run so incredibly smoothly and fast on iOS 26 RC.

Looking forward to the 17 PM’s stupendously good battery life 😁

I shouldn't be doing this, but I might use this as a time to upgrade from my iPhone 13 Pro to the 17 Pro Max. The fiscal responsibility gods would be sentencing me to the financial gas chambers. At least CA $1799 (excluding sales tax).

I must say, the orange colour looks very outlandish; I dont know how an Orange iPhone would look... makes me think of disney.

I am in the same boat. I do like the orange and it won’t get funny looks where I stay. I stays In the Netherlands.
