They haven't released a product with NFC but they're damn sure experimenting with it. I think it is quite probable that the 5S will have NFC.Yes. They probably have more NFC patents than any other tech company out there.
They're putting them to good use?

They might have other uses for it, some of which have probably been explored by other vendors but I have a feeling that the next iPhone will have NFC or another mobile payment solution. They haven't released a product with NFC but they're damn sure experimenting with it. NFC... no.... I don't think so. Even Samsung did a 180 on that one. The problem with NFC is forcing vendors to install additional hardware to support it is incredibly difficult. It inertia is nothing against retail inertia.

You have an interesting definition of news.
I don't make the news and it was an article from Reuters..
But you sure do regurgitate it like it's gospel truth.
I'm sorry, I thought this was the IT News section?
So where's the news? iPhone 5S delay isn't news, it's a totally unverified rumour. You don't seem to know the difference.
News:
Tim Cook announces new product category.
Earlier this month, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that various production issues will likely result in launches of Apple's iPhone 5S, lower-cost iPhone, and second-generation iPad mini coming somewhat later than many observers have been expecting. In particular, Kuo claimed that issues with color coatings for the fingerprint sensor said to be included on the iPhone 5S are likely to push back that device's launch from a June/July timeframe to perhaps September or later.

Apple has revealed the iPhone 5S, iPad 5 may be coming Autumn, iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2 in 2014
Apple's CEO Tim Cook has revealed the iPhone 5S will be coming in Autumn.
The Apple bigwig told investors and analysts at the company's annual earnings conference call that the follow up to the iPhone 5 will be coming before the year is out, alongside a tablet.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said Apple couldn't wait to show off the new hardware and services it was working on and planned to introduce in the Fall and throughout 2014, says The Full Signal.
We expect this year's launch to relate to the iPhone 5S and iPad 5 while next year's launches are expected to be the iPhone 6 and iPad Mini 2.

iPhone 6 latest rumours: release date, specs and price
This information would tally up with more recent rumours, dictating the iPhone 5S has been delayed, possibly until September.
iPhone 5S release date delayed until September?
The iPhone 5S is said to come with iOS7 onboard, alongside a larger screen. Many analysts have predicted it will be an interim update rather than anything major. The iPhone 6 is the device to wait for if you're looking for a more substantial update.

More in line with the topic, here's some regurgitate for you:
I understand that this upsets you cerebus but, you know...it's life.
Reuters are slaves to the clickbait game, what is your excuse?
Oh great icyrus, please tell me which news agency i should follow? Maybe you should tell me what news to post, should get it cleared by you first?![]()
It's a rumour, what am I meant to be upset about? Apple supply chain rumours have been flowing like diarrhea on a waterslide since forever. They usually turn out to have around a 5% probability rate. TUAW has a weekly roundup that's always good for a laugh.
Not at all, but you might apply your mind to the crap you read and decide if it is worthy of attention.
Umm yup...hence the post....![]()
The main giveaway is the fingerprint sensor. It's quite plausible (but still nothing more than guesswork) that they're delayed because of the manufacturing process of certain key factors; but fingerprint sensors and such gimmicky add-ons and Apple? You might as well state categorically that their implementation of the time machine is proving difficult and it would have about the same level of believability. But never mind, nobody will remember this guy's words in a week's time and he'll be free to spout out another doom story.
