Apple kills plan to make car

Then it’s official. There is no actual point to buying an EV. If apple don’t see a need to make one for us there’s no need to have one. Case closed
 
Something I’m not understanding here.

The anti-EV brigade are using the following arguments:
1. EVs are not green/environment friendly and
2. That there’s some conspiracy to force people to buy electric cars ( i see this a lot in comments on US posts)

So my questions are;
1. Why only focus on environment? Why focus on it at all? The combustion engine is based on archaic technology. The electric motor is superior and the cars they’re building are very capable. Who cares about the environment? In the same way you don’t care when you buy your petrol powered car which we still sell, buy the more advanced electric car and still don’t care either. It has so many many plus pints over an ICE vehicle but we constantly focus on why it’s not “green”

2. If anyone has reason to create a conspiracy it’s the oil companies and ICE vehicle manufacturers to get you to stick to buying cars that run on gas. Certainly more of a reason to push for them vs someone trying to sell lithium batteries creating a conspiracy

Apple should, have released a TV set in the mid 2000s. They would have owned the living room with an elegant TV that sits inside the walled garden. Instead we have this janky-ass Google TV that does nothing but pop ads if you even look directly at it. If you want an Apple experience in the living room you have a locked down set top box that offers little over the competition whatever is buitl into your tv anyway.

Why they wanted to mess with something as far outside their wheelhouse as cars anyway is anyones guess.

I've never had an advert appear on any of my Android TV's!

Apple seems to be moving towards headless chicken mode!
