Where could one get one of these? Generic perhaps?

I don't want to buy a new one from Apple.

AFAIK apple or increible connection are the only places that sell them.

Do you possibly need one because the magsafe connector broke off?

I've got one from eBay in the past (while in the US). Works OK, although there is a tingling feeling touching the palm rest, like a shock of some sort. This seems typical of aftermarket supplies, although I've had the same feeling with a legit Apple supply as well.
