Apple Music now in SA

iTunes update not rolled out yet [or atleast for us]. :p

Anyone know if this will work if we signup for another region [like india for my gran]? :)
 
Pricing is rather good. A lot cheaper than the US.
 
/iOS upgraded with new Music App. Loving the music collection. It looks like they have everything I would ask for...:)
 
How is the SA collection? Currently on the U.S. One but if they are similar I might switch over after 90 days
 
So far I've found everything I looked for on the SA store (like 4 artists that I checked out). Got at least one album that wasn't available on Deezer. Streaming seems more reliable than Deezer - I downloaded the Mac OSX update (1.2GB) while streaming from an iPad and didn't get one interruption. But will need to do more testing.

Pity the Android version only comes out later this year - I used an old iPhone 4 in a docking station for music and since it can't be updated to iOS 8 I can't use AMusic on it... :( I also have an old Android that I can use but need to wait for the app.

Great that they offer a 3 month trial. Hopefully by then the Android app is out too.
 
Looks like I've made a mistake going for the U.S. Version but they have everything, app is weird to use but the content is incredible. Don't even know what to do

The family plan looks attractive, but I would really miss the "Hear This" section from deezer. I have discovered some great indie and lesser know artists from that page.
The offline functionality also rocks, nice for road trips. Just wish they would have a family plan like Apple. Deezer is also more cross platform. Because it's browser based I can use it in Linux, and it even runs on smart tv's etc. It even runs on my little WDTV media player. Besides, I have spent a lot of time building my collection on Deezer.
 
Anyone having issues claiming the *free* trial. My US acc says I don't have enough bucks. I have $9 but it's a free trial so even if I have zero $ it should still work. Any ideas?
 
Well, that's frustrating, thanks Apple.

I download the latest version of Apple Itunes, then go to the Apple Music website and select to start the trial. This opens up the Itunes store in the app, which then displays an error that I need to update my Itunes. This directs me to the download page of the UK Itunes, which then shows that the latest version for download is the one I have, not the newer version required for Apple Music.

Aaaaargh. Such a run-around! This is the 64-bit version, btw.

Anybody else had any luck getting this working in SA legally?
