Am I the only one finding Apple's new streaming service short of atrocious?

I've been using Simfy for 2 years, and as much joy as it has brought me, it's Android (and desktop) app suck balls.

The same track / artists repeat over and over. There never seems to be any variation in any genre.

Come Apple Music. So I joined. Signed up for the free 3 month trial, but it seems I'm presented with exactly the same issue. Very few "genre" radio stations to chose from, and when you do, the same *** gets blasted to you over and over.

If I'm missing something, please let me know. I hate Simfy, but Apple Music seems to be even worse. :(.

30 Million songs seem to be narrowed down to 30 artists. This seems to be across the board of streaming services.

What's your experience with Simfy? Have you accessed it through your internet browser?

See when I stream iTunes radio it stream from amazonAWS.

Found something interesting, a poster posted an article to how to "record" iTunes radio on here, I didn't bite but another guy in office did.

For interest sake I took the copy he had, a song U2 - Still haven't found... from Joshua Album 30.8mb and my copy of the same song in flac format, both where identical in size at 30.8mb.

Ran them both through Spectral analyser and they both nearly identical just a couple bitrates short from each other.

Why are you stuck on using the radio stations?

You can listen to just about anything you want to so...just search and go?

Tempted to sign up for the 3 month trial.

I've done it. Currently with Simfy. Quite enjoying Apple Music now since my rant. It's on-par with Simfy. Apple Music offers much better playlists catered to your liking though.

Just waiting to see what their Android app is like, then I'm ditching my Simfy account.

Yeah it's a bit silly to have the Android App delayed so far, but I guess if they didn't there would be some Apple nerd rage.

What I don't understand is why there is a delay on the app for Apple TV. It would improve the experience remarkably for me...

Pity their desktop player is iTunes, though.

Because there's a new Apple TV on the way with a whole new OS experience I bet.

Hopefully an App Store as well.

If I can get Plex as an App on Apple TV then I will buy three immediately.

I know new hardware is imminent but there is no reason why the current version can't have an app. If you're an iTunes Match subscriber you can already stream your music.

I would have liked it to be available immediately.

No for sure I'm with you there.

I just think they are holding it back to have a bit more up their sleeve when that time comes.
