I've done it. Currently with Simfy. Quite enjoying Apple Music now since my rant. It's on-par with Simfy. Apple Music offers much better playlists catered to your liking though.
Just waiting to see what their Android app is like, then I'm ditching my Simfy account.

I'd like a very lightweight dedicated music player app for desktop use. Or web-app. Streamline the experience of listening music.
Is that it then, or do you have other reasons?
iTunes has just always been a bloated, slow mess.
lol, I'm suspecting he uses windows, iTunes is a solid OSX app.Which Mac are you running it on?

How about having your own opinion instead of regurgitating what the internet says?
SO's MacBook Air.
I'd be copying stuff to my iPod and it would just stop working. Like the songs I add would show on the iPod but they're greyed out and refuse to actually copy.
Although it's shyte on my Windows desktop, too.
They've improved it quite a bit over the years, though.
Nice save.
Then you shouldn't base your opinion entirely on the Windows version.
Oh yes.
Why not? Are Apple incapable of making good Windows applications?
But my initial point was quite a simple one - I'd have liked a simple, lightweight app to use. iTunes has just never been an application that I particularly enjoy using. Although I understand why it makes sense from the company's perspective.
And apparently I'm not the only one, going by the stuff in the link I posted.
Haven't signed up as of yet - but curious about the monthly subscription offer:
How would it work for those who use vouchers? Can it pull the monthly sub off the iTunes credit, or must a CC be attached?
Anyone?
Can pull the sub of account credit; I have a US account with no CC attached and have signed up - loving it so far.
