Apple: Samsung abused “monopoly power”

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd abused its “monopoly power” and demanded an unreasonable royalty from Apple Inc for the use of wireless patents in the iPhone, hurting the device’s commercial prospects, Apple experts testified.

Motorola also claiming Apple just ignored their payment offer for using Motorola patents. Samsung said exactly the same thing.

And let's not even mention how much Apple wanted to charge Samsung for use of their "patents":

Apple revealed a document which details a licence agreement it was prepared to offer Samsung, giving the Korean firm access to some of its key patents in return for some rather healthy royalty payments.
The document states that Apple would receive $30 (around £20) for every Android, Bada or Windows Phone is sold, while the Korean firm would have to fork out $40 (around £25) for each touchscreen tablet it shifted.
