I just wish we were included.
Apple has today unveiled the ability to order purchases for recipients in other countries. The service known as Cross Border would allow a US-based customer to make a purchase for someone in the UK.
Cross Border
Apple currently offers the service in the US to 20 countries including: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Apple UK is also offering the service with the ability to ship to: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Ja but that's because Apple first has to get a license to distribute music in SA before we can get iTunes store.

I wish we had ITMS here though.

It would be nice if they reconsider their position of not having a local presence.

I'm aware that I can do that with a US account, but I have a UK account, and it would be nice if I can change to the US store and buy directly there. Some things I'm interested in isn't in the UK store.

I have both a UK and US account. I buy from both and sync both to 2 ipods and an iPhone with no problems.

Yes, PaulMark, I know that's possible. And I have family in the US so I can easily set up a US account with a legitimate address. But I *DON'T* want that hassle.
