Apple unveils Mac OS X Lion

And.... have they *finally* got something with blu-ray support now?
 
You say summer, are you quoting an american paper there?? So would it be June? Or December ?
 
I dont get the whole 'coming this summer, fall blah blah. Why cant there just be a month?

Going to be American summer, so June 2011. Author should correct his article since this is a south african website.

Thanks Jordan. If you didn't want to do this article, then you shouldn't passed it on to someone who did.

Dashboard - the actual name of the feature - does contain wigets. However, it is Launchpad - the interface that collects downloaded Apps - that will have the folders functionality. The App store is going to be made available to Snow Leopard by January, and presumably Launchpad should be included.

FaceTime is not exclusive to Lion either. I've downloaded the Beta and it works really well. On Snow Leopard.
 
Uber excited for this, if it is a reasonable price (below R300) then I will probably upgrade to it. Stupid question but when are we going to see os xi, since Lion is 7 I would imagine in 3 years time.
 
I wonder if it will only be playable on the most recent Mac processors (i-series) or if it will also work on the older Intel Macs (Core series)?

And I just upgraded to Snow Leopard... and bought a new Mini...

It will work with all Intel Macs I'm sure.

I don't buy that one :P. I've never even watched a blu-ray. They look fantastic sure, I just could do without the whole disc thing. Streaming over wifi or ethernet is the only way.
