I disagree, from the size of the "Acer" and your reasoning, it must be a MBP. Now, follow my reasoning:

1. The "body" is black and the LCD backpanel is silver. It is possible though that the notebook is stacked on some sort of folder, giving the black body appearance. MBP - Maybe/maybe not
2. Like you suggested, I did have a look at the hinges ... at to me they appear to be on the top of the notebook. MBP - NO
3. We all know that the MBPs don't have ports at the back ... only heatsync and of course the MBP's LCD that folds down behind the back of the body. From where I am sitting, I am sure I see a couple of ports on the back of that MBP. MBP - NO

So, in my honest opinion, that is definitely not an Apple with a skin.

Oh, and one last thing ... those protective skins are latex like rubber ... will be able to see the glowing apple through the skin if it was a MBP
