Apparently one can, Vodacoms eSIM only works on the watch, apparently using it on a phone will result in calls and messages not arriving or being unreliable, at least according to Vodacon

So what's the latest on the Vodacom/iPhone eSim issue ? Haven't been following discussions for a while. Can I move my VC sim to eSim , or will I get blank stares from the customer support people ?

Don’t use Vodacom and nothing been in the news about them updating things so I have the same lack of info you do.

I don’t use contracts so also not high on my list to worry about with only CellC and Telekom offering prepaid eSIM.

I tried but there was so much confusion between the MTN call centre and MTN stores you would think they were different companies all together, no one was ever able to confirm it would work.

Yeah. It’s crazy how these consultants lacks proper product training and knowledge.

Is the month to month contract itself available though ?

Maybe we need to do it in stages …

Get the physical sim first then ask for an eSim swop.

Kuo: Rugged Apple Watch coming in 2022

There’s a rumor that Apple is working on a ruggedized version of its Apple Watch and now noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is confirming that the wearable is due to launch in 2022. Kuo is expecting three Apple Watch models next year with the Watch 8 series, a new SE model and the rugged watch. The rugged watch has also been dubbed as Explorer edition in some rumors but we don’t get any spec details for now. It should come with shock impact-resistant casing and will be targeted at extreme athletes and outdoor lovers.

Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to bring a body temperature sensor that will help users gather more health and fitness data. Kuo is also expecting an upgraded AirPods Pro version which will add onboard health sensors as well as a “radical” redesign that ditches the stems.
