Apple Watch thread

Even has Apple Pay support, well done to them for understanding the Apple customer.

They just need to spell Returns correctly.

Name makes no sense, but domains are hard to come by I guess.
Agreed

They are however, decently priced and I've received good service from them on previous orders

I can see why it would be a problem as it’s a huge range and they’d likely sit with **** loads of surplus stock that doesn’t get sold.

That being said I used the standard strap that came with mine forever and a day which was the Nike one and then I upgraded to a Milanese loop clone and wore it for a while but it was quite annoying at times and I found myself switching between them based on occasion.

Then I upgraded to the larger Watch and I’ve stuck with the standards strap until now which isn’t as bad as I anticipated not having the holes in like the Nike one.

Now I have a mate coming in from the US who is bringing me one of the braided loop ones so very keen to see if it solves my issue with motorcycle gloves.
I'm not in love with the default sports band on this thing. Some of the bands mounted on display on the iStore table (which aren't even hanging up for purchase :X3:) don't look like they've lasted well at all. So I'm wondering if it's folly to focus on buying original bands.

Also something you’d want to try before you buy if at all possible.
Can't try them anyway if I'm shopping in-store.

Awesome! Going to order some bands from them. Thanks man.

Not having a proper SA flag on the SA band is such a missed opportunity though...

The Apple bands do tend to last exceptionally well.

Someone did a proper science testing style thing on YouTube I watched at some point and the conclusion was that they are better for sure, but then the cheap Chinese ones can also be replaced often enough at their price.

The few I’ve tried though felt pretty damn horrendous and sweaty, which is why I avoid them.

At the same time my sister’s strap discoloured randomly within the first three months or so of having it. iStore didn’t want to know anything about warranty claiming it and she ended up going to Apple directly who shipped her a new one internationally.

That's the famous iStore service we know and love....

This exactly! I had bought some bands when iStore didn’t have stock of the sports band that is black and yellow-ish that I really wanted in 2020, got some of those ones from those other guys who you find in the middle of the mall walkways
The one band began falling apart within 4 months, the other 2 were just not comfortable, went right back to the original sports band I got with my Watch and it’s still going well since 2019.

Lesson learnt!

My Watch 3 is old now so won’t bother getting any new bands for it, will just get a new Watch some time next year.

Ridiculously comfortable and unbelievable to think it’s synthetic silicone and not cotton.

A bit more pink that I expected but I’ll rock it.

I’m happy to report I didn’t need to move my Watch to my other hand when riding the bike.

Granted it’s not the end of it since I switched to winter gloves this morning but it’s definitely more comfortable in general.

So much so if I close my eyes I can genuinely say I can’t feel I’m wearing it.

After the shower it does stay a bit wet, but at the same time it’s not the same skin contact sensation as with the standard band so even that is an improvement.

What’s the sizing like without being able to adjust it at all? Not taken mine for a shower (yet) as that’s generally when I charge it every day.

You measure it up front so it’s literally made to fit.

So it’s quite tricky to stretch it and get it over your hand but once done assuming you can use a tape measure properly it’s perfect.

If I shake it it doesn’t twist around or anything like that and it doesn’t move up and down my arm by itself, but also isn’t constricting in any way.

Picked up a new Series 7 yesterday. My previous watch lasted 6 years. Really impressed with the quicker response on the new one.

Which model was your previous watch and how was the battery life at the end of your 6 years of ownership?
