Maybe he should just get a Q6600 for R2299 then and a cheaper mobo? I don't see why he would need a R1k mobo if he isn't OC'ing

i didn't know you could get a tri-core... is there a noticeable difference between 2 and 3 cores?

oh and will extra cores help for 3 monitors, or is that purely up to the graphics card?

Actually you'll see that the Q6600 is more expensive than that now. Anyway, an extra R800 just for an extra core? Not really worth it of you ask me.

Like I said I chose take2 so everything was in one place. I'm sure if he gave the list of components to the guys at pcint he could knock a couple hundred off the price.

It's awesome value for the price. A tri core is just more value for money because everything is moving multicore. Hell even GTAIV pc has a tricore as the recommended processor. It'll last you longer.

Just up to the gfx card.
