Are IT Academy qualifications nationally accredited?

I was browsing for short software development courses and I stumpled upon this IT Academy software develoment bundle. If anyone has enrolled in one of their courses, are they accredited? Are they reliable? What value do they carry to the employer?

And if there are better short (software developer) courses out there, please recommend.

If the course culminates in a registered certificate, such as A+, MCSE, etc., it would be nationally recognized, but depending on what you want to do, may or may not be sufficient.

I would also be wary of the accreditation for the parts of the courses that are tested via online multiple choice through their own platform. It looks as though they do a mix of their own accreditation versus standardized accreditation, which they test at external venues.

For software development, my suggestion is to start a BSc through UNISA. Not exactly short, of course, but if you are the type to go beyond the curriculum a bit, you could likely get work while you study it.

Yeah, for the A+, etc, unless you write the exam at a Pearson Vue centre, for example, the cert isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
