Are multi cylinder engines days numbered?

You're going to cry a lot more when your car doesn't have any kind of explosion powered drivetrain.
I cannot wait until then :D

I love the sound of an engine, but looking forward to seeing where electric cars are going to take things, especially with their lower level of maintenance and complexity in terms of upkeep.

I don't even hear the turbo in my Kuga. Perhaps because it is working at a low pressure? At least I hear the 5- potter.
Drop your window on a quiet road, you should hear it at around 3000rpm. My Renault Clio 4 has a 898cc Turbo motor and at around 2000rpm I hear it faintly whistling, it sounds great, it lasts up until around 3500rpm.

It's all down to when your car hits peak torque.

My little i20 (crdi) makes quite a nice noise when it's cold.
Once it warms up, I don't hear the turbo at all

The sound of a boxer 4 turbo at full throttle. Sounds like a small airplane coming in for a crash landing. Just beautiful

I don’t know of any single cylinder cars, they’ve all got at least three.

Now watch someone find a single cylinder production car and prove me wrong :)

At least two, I can find a two cylinder for you, someone can then beat me and find a single cylinder.

hahah , love it when my "little" 4 cylinder screams louder then a supercar.

milk only comes in 2L .... lol

Pulled up next to a posh beemer with that sticker on the back bumper.Showed him what a 2L does :D

I would not mind driving a electric car. 100% of its max torque are available from any revs. How can that be bad.

Yeah I just say I’ve gone from being V8 obsessed and having no care for electric in the world to figuring my next car will be electric and klaar.

This is pretty sad. If I one day can I would have me a ES9 V6 Pug (607 / 407) as they now seem to top out at 1.6 Turbo when it comes to petrol.
