Are Papi’s pillars crumbling?

Well judging from the graph on the front page hellkom I cannot see how they can become more customer centric when over half their staff have been retrenched. Twice the work for each staff member - good service will be few and far between unfortunately.

Employee satisfaction is almost null. But the execs have a corner office, aircon and fat salaries so who actually gives a **** about the staff?

Yes great but what has come of it? Sorry to say, but nothing.
What a waste of time to even consider that Papi would bring something different. I feel the whole of Africa is a lost cause. Corruption, theft and rape are the Nr. 1 priority of it's leaders.

Have you got any contact details for Papi? (PM me.)
I'd like to tell him what I think of him and Telkom.

Helpless Citizen.

It is a story of a runaway train.

At some point it'll catch up to those responsible for the company.

Shareholders will bail - top management will bail - all with fat profits.

It'll be milked dry.

Then the company will collapse altogether--or--they will get serious about the businees they are in.

This dreary picture still has some time to run its course.

It seems those responsible do not see what they are doing. Maybe they just don't have the know how to see what they are doing.

It is actually quite unrealistic to think that Papi could effect any meaningful change in as little as 6 months, good or bad, however I fear though that even in 6 years time, Telkom will still be the exact same greedy demon it is today and Papi will be happily hugging his 'pillars of salt' while rolling in the cash, not looking back.

But M@d; they bought consumer centric software, they did not mean really that they' are to become more consumer centric, That phrase were borrowed, or stolen as per our revenue, from the software logo. Obviously Papi did not even know what it means let alone comprehend the use or success of it. Must say with all my complaints the last few months I was not offered even one customer follow up number, so maybe the program did not even start yet. Typical TELKOM

Yes I am, but what has that got to do with Telkom?
The world has been pear shaped since it's creation.
Greed, I say Greed!!!:(

Well it's standard corporate speak to promote the company and then do nothing about it - much like politicians promoting their policies which they know they'll never fufill.

Well it was too good to be true. I resent the fact that I almost believed him.

I just think his 1st paycheck made him forget about a pillar, then when he got xmas bonus, he decided to forget everything.

I SO knew I would eat my words when I sed this looks like a good change; I just knew it :/

I wonder..... Is it Five Pillars, or five puppets

" focus on delighting our customers through excellent service and making them feel that the service is adding value to their business " - Call me a buff old Cove, but good prices always seem to work Wonders, really odd how this seems so elusive to the Telkom mind set

" In turn, our customer can only be delighted if our employees are delighted " - That can only mean we are well and truly Doomed, unless of course it was supposed to be Deluded, but either way I think that's wearing thin to, something to do with some of the people all of the time I am led to believe

" Focusing on employees is also in line with the Company's vision ” - Telkom have vision? When did this happen? Look what happens when you are away for five minutes, tell them to put it back, unless of course they meant they are watching Television

“ The needs of all stakeholders are equally important to the Company ” - Clearly this comes from speech writers watching Star Trek II when writing, and I'm almost sure it's really something about Shareholders eating Steak Rolls

STOP PRESS

THIS NEWS JUST IN

THE PILLARS HAVE BEEN STOLEN!!!!!!!!!

" Focusing on employees is also in line with the Company's vision ” - Unless this means that they work on the poor person until they cannot take it anymore and leave, perhaps that fits in with targets and goals - LOL

Papi is 'n skapie, he never had pillars, Lot of BS, big mouth, Stolen logo as a catchphrase "consumer centric"? my @ss.

Just like the Korea, talk peace while playing for time to stab you in the back with the next profit generating scheme when ready. That is Papi style and modus operandi. Talks with MyAdsl just to dampen the flaming.

Well Papi you ran your course, we now know you are a bag of wind, your will fail like others before you

Your legacy you will be stuck with

-Implement per gig billing; Telkom wins again while stealing our money
-Blatant country raping and damage causing lack of growth and loss of jobs.
-Lying to ICASSA about the cost savings the new scheme will bring
-Screw the ISP's making it not possible for them to compete with your own profiteering system
-Force on ISP's 3GiG caps while you do not cap your own.
- Changes in the fixed line unit time period without ICASSA knowledge or authority, thus fraud and theft on national scale is rife in Telkom modus operandi regards to consumer exploitation
-Denying us the Sat-3 cable capacity we paid for with taxes
- Remained a GVT backed monopoly, based on a mandate to enable communication growth for the poor. You did not do that, now the SNO must do it.

When SNO get on their feet, we will desert your services for what Telkom are, a rotten bag of potatoes!

Shame on You!

G@@dness that vent made me feel better!
