is the psu overkill? and can you guys think of any important parts im missing?

All looks spot-on. PSU is a good match. As long as you consume at least 40% of a PSU's power, you should still get good efficiency.

A chassis you might also want to look at is the Storm Scout. Basically the same chassis as the 690, but better cooling and a few nice extra's like front Esata and 4 front USB. All for about R160 more.
