All you see is "smart standard".. well that means nothing to me, you click "get this deal" nothing, what idiot thought this was a good design.

Lets take a look at how cell C does it

look at that,
200 MINUTES
200 SMSs/MMSs
500MB data pm
all the stuff I need to know.

I've been a Vodacom customer for the last decade. I just ditched them today for Cell C and I couldn't be happier. As you point out, it's almost sad that to be considered so wonderful, all Cell C have had to do is actually explain what their contract offers, and give it a reasonable price point. It's hardly rocket science, but I guess when your competitors are Vodacom and MTN it doesn't take much to stand out :/

YES, Vodacom are really this dumb!

I left them ages ago. They are still living in the past thinking that people will keep on supporting their exorbitant prices.

My brother, who is currently on Vodacom, asked how Cell C was earlier this year and I told him straight up (pun intended) that Cell C are just in another league to Vodacom. I did, however, tell him that they have one issue which is network coverage but that you could still fall back on Vodacom. Can't wait for them to cover SA just as good or better than Vodacom and MTN.

Anyway, just last week my brother decided to buy a Cell C sim to test. Of course, he is on contract with Voda but he shocked by the prepaid call rates and data bundles with their in-bundle rates.

He told me that he doesn't see a future for him with Vodacom if the Cell C contracts are just as appealing. I told him that another shock awaits him regarding Cell C contracts.

This coming from a man who's been with Vodacom for over ten years.

Have you guys ported or cancelled altogether?

Left Vodacom +- 2 months back and moved all 5 numbers in my household to Cell C. Been with Vodacom close on 8 years but don't regret leaving them at all, best thing I did.

I now only realise how they have been ripping me off. At Cell C I pay the R0.99 as advertised per minute. At Vodacom I used to pay R1.60. Never thought that much about it and the difference does not seem that big but believe me, it makes a big big difference. My airtime now lasts forever and on the 5 numbers we have in the family the monthly saving is quite substantial.

One thing that I do miss though... No matter where I was I could always get 3g on my mobile with Vodacom. With Cell C I also get very good connections but have had one or two occasions where I could get nothing better than Edge.

Moved one on my mtn nos to cell c over 6 months ago after about 16 years with mtn. Saving every month now. Best move.

Just want proper dual sim from cellc
