I've always been a reader and it has been my main hobby for most of my life

There are some terrible, badly written novels on Kindle Unlimited. It can be discouraging when you've found what seems to be interesting only to find it sucks, then you move on to the next one and that turns out to be a dud as well.

Took a Scribd subscription which I don't regret. I love the magazine access mostly and read maybe 2-3 books a year if that.

I'm a prodigious reader, although I generally read a lot of books within a short timeframe then take a break for a month or so.

I have considered doing just this for our morning drive to work. (from home to dropping off the kids then getting to work is usually around 45 minutes to an hour each day).
Can you tell me more about the setup you use?

Podcasts for me in the morning / evening commute -- Spotify's.

Although I do love me a good Audio book, just haven't pulled the trigger to buy a subscription service somewhere.

Last couple I listened to was Brandon Sanderson's "Secret Project" ones that I backed via kickstarter.

He gave a copy of the eBooks as well as the audio book, the latter you had options to download the MP3 (DRM free), download some sort of audio book format or redeem a Spotify voucher and add the book to your library - quite nice.
