Borrowed from a friend: Yes, the President has grossly abused his power and persistently acted irresponsibly toward those whom he is to be leading. He should be removed. That message will not be effectively conveyed by us acting irresponsibly toward the employees, students and children we are to be leading on Friday. The first weapon against irresponsible leadership in government is responsible leadership in our homes and businesses. Further, #Stayawayfriday will only do more harm to the economy by the lack of production/trade. It is like protesting a clogged bathtub by breaking off the shower head. You have the right to do so, but it lacks effectiveness. And you are creating an environment where citizens learn that they can get their way by staying away from their responsibilities. We need more people to be responsible and steadfast. We need more hard workers and law-abiding citizens. We already have enough criminals. Don't unwittingly become one of them by thinking you are doing good. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Also... Do not be under any illusions that there are elements of society waiting in the wings to hijack any form of protest and turn it to their own ends. They outnumber you and they would love nothing more than the see chaos and anarchy in this country. You may set out to protest peacefully and with the right motives in your heart. But the end result of any such protest in this country may not look like what you envisioned at all. Be careful. They also want to change the government. But not for something better. It will be far, far worse. The best way to fight the dilemma we currently face is by making this country stronger, not weaker.

We do we find more of these people?

Lol probably the same oke that love to spread WA voicenotes that typed this.

Do you useful idiots really believe that protests will have the numbers to have any effect without the majority of this country, aka the working class, who are too poor to take a day off work, are die-hard ANC voters anyway, and have no concept of how a downgrade to junk status will affect them?

If you really want to make a difference, if you really want to make your voice heard - EMIGRATE. Go somewhere that actually values your skills and talents.

In Translation: if you get bullied and your tuck shop money gets stolen is to give him more money and hope he goes away?

No.

Won't make any difference.

Whether Zuma is removed or not depends entirely on factions within the ANC...

Where do we emigrate to Quincy? The only place reasonably not insane is Canada but it's too cold there for me to even bother. So please enlighten us?

And if you're 60 years old? Emigration (just like any other proposed solution) will not work for everyone

Typical, just like the people who say the same thing about voting. Get off your ass and do something if you can! A million people like you can make all the difference. Individually you're a fart in the wind, but collectively we are the wind...

A million people can march around all day until they are blue in the face, we need about ten million to vote to make a difference.

Unfortunately that's not going to happen for another 2 years. How else do you propose ordinary citizens start making their voices heard?

Thing is, who cares about ordinary citizens? Certainly not Zuma and his cronies.

You're missing the point if you think that it's to get Zuma and his faction to do anything. It's about getting the other faction of the ANC to do the right thing...

Again, the Middle class keeping the economy running while the rest goes on a looting rampage. I just hope the masses lower class does go to the streets, I unfortunately can't
