we have already determined there is no figure big enough, and so we have moved on

I'll leave you to it

Just the downgrade means ONE of our divisions has to hold a billion rand more capital to meet regulatory requirements. That's a billion rand taken out of the economy, that has to sit in reserve and do nothing. And that's a small division of a smallish company.
Not taking into account inflation, interest cost, lower GDP, cost of living/doing business...

1. Contrary to my views before the march, it does seem possible for a protest in SA not to degenerate into chaos and looting, and possible to hold a relatively safe demonstration. The organisers should be congratulated for being pragmatic and taking the lead to avoid possible confrontations by changing routes and venues when required.

2. Having said that, I do not think anyone should be lured into the belief that we have seen the end of violence at such events.

3. The absence of Cosatu, the EFF and ANCYL probably helped a lot.

4. We are all now fully aware of who the instigators of violence and looting probably are.

5. The ANC has a lot to answer for regarding the so-called MKVA. Those are not veterans at all. What is this? A Private army waiting for call up? Who is the Commander-in-Chief? How such a private army can exist? Why are they not being prosecuted? How is this "force" any different from the AWB?

6. There are clearly quite a few in this country of all races that have no idea how damaging racial posters can be to the cause they are supposedly supporting. And why is it necessary for all the profanity?

1 - Respect for admitting you were wrong at least.

2 - People need to stop being so scared all the time, this is the future of our country we are talking about, make a stand.

6 - Fewer than you think, the CT march is estimated at over 100k (despite government doing their best to lie about it being smaller) - I did not see a single poster that was racial. There might have been some, but I didn't see them. Lets be generous and say there were 10 though, thats only 1% of protestors. Does that qualify as "quite a few" - I think it's safe to say there will always be a small percent of trouble people impossible to eliminate this entirely.

Yet, tomorrow Zuma will say that the whites were being racist.

Yes ok, this is actually quite easy. You are looking for logic within Zuma's utterances, might as well just stop.

Someone walked into an FNB branch today with an ANC T-shirt with the slogan "Radical economic transformation" :D
Waited patiently in the queue.

Just another wannabe Hipster who is afraid of backlash, hence the disabling of comments under his video
I said basically the same thing, why disable the comments. And he has so many subscribers, but I agree, just a talker it seems

#NationalDayofAction Hlengwa to Zuma: if he does not behave... cause we are in charge there (Nkandla) we'll punish him, close water...
Guy from the IFP :crylaugh:
