Its not vets. Its thugs being paid to stand around in camos pretending to be security.

The planning for the next one starts, hopefully the massive participation and peacefulness of this one will encourage more fence sitters to join in for the next one, as the "I'm scared" or "nobody else will show up so why should I" excuses have been completely sunk.

Exactly, and that process is well underway here: corruption, political divisions, junk status and (most worrying) threatened changes to our constitution to allow illegal land grabs. It's now up to South Africans to keep a coordinated counter-process alive: interracial protest movements, intense media scrutiny, civic engagement and a general spirit of "get off your butt and do something rather than just moan online". Yesterday WAS the best start to that counter-movement we've had since 1994 and we need to keep up the pressure if it won't just be a case of "too little, too late". The two missions: get Zuma out before 2019, and take the elections away from the ANC in 2019.
