Are you single?

ive been single for... a long time lol... thats why i took up the internet :p

lol no im just shy man... no really, im shy! :p

True, F.O.R(Fear of Rejection) can be quite devastating on ones confidence...Personally i hate getting rejected and thus only asks the girl out once im 80% sure of getting lucky. But i have a friend who gets rejected alot, but he still gets alot of action. He uses two theories
1. The more chances you take the luckier you get
2. Meat is meat and a man must eat.

Girls are so lucky, they just have to sit there and look pretty. We guys have to do all the hard work.

@lino
Why are you leaving the country?

Most shy people are just afraid of rejection and need to get over it. You will get rejected every now and then, but when u succeed it's glory all the way.

But this doesn't mean that you should make advances indiscriminately of the circumstances. And for shy people it is this sense of circumstance that is way different from non-shy people.

Okay i understand, only read the 1St page and to be honest i think that you should not be asking a forum wether or not you should stay.
Personally i would say dont be a deserter and leave but thats your choice and i will think no less of you if you do go.

Anyways back to the topic, if you can go two years without having any sexual relations with woman then goodluck, im sure the forum will be seeing alot more of you on friday and saturday nights.

Sorry to hear that you lost your husband Diane ;) True love is hard to come by, my mom and dad were married for 34 years and then my dad fooled around and they got divorced, my mom does have a "friend who she met this year (she's been divorced almost 4 years), but I don't actually like him that much, to be truthful, if I see him with my mom I'd like to punch his lights out, he looks so fricken scaley to me.

Anyways, I'm way to messed up to ever have a sustainable relationship and even if I wasn't, I'm not interested in a girlfriend, its just me ;) :D :p

Thanks realy missed my husband this week end wasent there to see his Eldest Son Shaun Graduate from Rhodes with His BMUS + distinction.
My son was in His First year when he lost his Dad.

I hope at the very least that you have peace and a strong will to carry on, being a grass widow as you call it couldn't have been easy either, but the son that graduated must make you proud and that's what matters ;)

Don't get wrapped up in a relationship just because you are alone, enjoy your freedom and when you feel ready to look for a partner, then that's the best, just chill for now ;)

i admire people who stay married for so long, especially despite the fact ur husband travelled so much. i was only married for 6 years, then divorced. it's a sickness of my 30-something generation, we have highest stats on divorce. couldn't stand being with him towards the end of our marriage, ironically now ... we are the best of friends. go figure! my family love him, and think we'll get back together. OVER MY DEAD BODY! i'm so allergic to men now, they're just too needy & dependent (i know, i'm generalising). anyway, will never consider another man in my house, EVER. i got 2 beautiful daughters (3yo & 1yo), and i will never ever trust a man, no matter how great he might seem, in my house. i know, i got issues.

Linoman, why don't you take up some skydiving or rock-climbing ... something other than a girl, to get your juices flowing?

Diane,

We are all sorry to hear, it must be hard to say the least. I need only look at my parents. who are now married for 28 years, and I have to say that if any one of them had to pass away, the other would be totally devastated.

Well, the people on this forum sound nice enough, and are probably wiling to help in any way.

Condolences on behalf of the forumites..

Diane, my greatest condolences to you and your family for your loss.

@ johnnygirl you have a point I suppose I could take up an extreme sport, that is of cause if I don't cause myself to have a heart attack in the process.

i'm serious, Linoman. maybe start with something easy then, like a bridge swing. the one at gouritz (near mosselbay), is only about 60 meters high. will change your life, man.

Don't think I am an idiot or a wimp but is there something easier than bridge swinging to begin with. You should know I am terrified of heights.

if you're afraid of heights, skydiving is actually the better option. cause, believe it or not, fear of heights only exists while ur feet touch the ground. in a plane, u don't experience fear of heights.
