Anyone other than me focus purely on arena?

I in the process of finalising my team for season 7 and think I will stick to a faceroll comp - Unholy Death Knight / Arms Warrior / Holy Paladin. It suits me as it doesn't take finesse to pull off wins.

I hope to hit 2K this season in 3v3 - managed 1850 (just) in 2v2 last season.

And of course we all know the South Africans that do well in arena have the skillz :) Playing with 300-500ms latency and occasional lag spikes add a new dimension to pvp.

That setup is faceroll alright, me and two buddies with no arena experiance at all, played it for one week last season. We got up past 1500 and then got bored and stopped. Not bad for scrubs. :P

playing rmp this season in threes(im the p).First time i've played rmp since early s3 and its the most fun i've had in ages.

Last season i peaked at 2100 in 2's as priest/dk.

This season should be even better as i am on dsl now instead of iburst! Everytime i log on my team mates are like "LULZ U HAF DSL YET BROSEF?!". So it should be awesome.

Sorry with a cleaveteam you could faceroll to 1900 last season with a 40% win ratio, try harder ;)

FOTM team setups are still a bit off, meeting lots of varied groups atm. The boomkin/shaman/lock teams are devastating though

If I want to start leveling a new char, with the aim of 2vs2 / 3vs3 arena's, which class do think it should be?

I'm inclined to go either Warlock or Warrior; Which class is better with our SA lag? Some posts seems to suggest ranged DPS is better for lag. I used to arena with a 70 hunter, and lag was a huge factor, especially when enemies would pillar-hump.

we are doing a lot of Arena and BG, and our 3v3 team consist of Warlock,Pally(ret),Druid(restro). We are not having troubles yet, but some Rogues still are hard to kill ^_^. It,s all about the gear fit-out for us.

I found a warrior to be a pain with lag - trying to charge, hamstring and rend resulted in "target out of range".

True - consider that I went from 1650 to 1850 within a week in 2v2 playing with a ret paladin as team mate towards the end of the season. Played with a priest earlier in the season, which was far tougher.

Started a team up last week, setup is lock(destro) Druid(resto) and DK(Unholy). We doing ok, got to 1k rating after one night of playing, so we getting there :)

Damn the faceroll teams.. From what i have seen its all about the melee dps these days...that **** hurts my poor clothie lock. I must say i prefer 3s though, it seems more fast paced then 2s, and more chaos, which is what i like :)

Geared warriors are doing fantastic damage atm - although this has always been the case with Wow as they scale better than just about any other class.

Expect the situation to get worse; although Blizzard have already responded with a 13% nerf to armour penetration on the PTR.

started arena last night 600 rating..

myself and my GF
Feral and Disc priest

also Feral and Aff lock
having good fun

Seriously beginning to consider transfering to pvp realm for arena's this season.
Any specific realms for arena's?

Sylvanas is rly good .. lots of serious pvpers...

last night myself and gf reached 1k rating :O!!

Stay away from Cyclone battlegroup if possible ;) Unless you are really up for a challenge. Pornolio can probably confirm this is one really hard battle group to score well in.

Well everyone have to quit some time. Did not think Ponrolio will quit before me though ;)
No more lurking around horde towns to ambush him on his farming trips :(

Naah still playing.. just migrated over last night to Bloodhoof to join the new guild awaiting me. I am on trial with Ebrium from today.

WoW is just broken... broken in so many ways, The worst being the ToC 25 man Gormak encounter. Chain dc's makes people useless to raid leaders. Maybe its a sign of Aion calling.

There is numerous threads about it on both the EU + US forums.

I am upgrading my PC later this week, and gonna tweak the living crap out of it... and if its still bugged / buggy with data overload crashes, I might as well take a break. I am even gonna give WoW its own dedicated two cpu cores. If it still crashes and DC's on massive AOE encounters... then I will have to wait it out till blizzard fixes their b0rg3d code.

Oh yes, and cyclone is nasty... very nasty. Seen and played on a few battlegroups, but Cyclone is by far the nastiest... its no wonder they call it EU's "showcase" battlegroup.

Looking forward to this new beast of a upgrade I am doing. Been reading and researching hardware component level things like crazy...

Ah good to see you have not left us yet :) who else would give me rotation tips if you leave :P

And good luck with the upgrade, a new PC is always a good thing!

And give us some feedback on the PVP on your new Battle group, interested to transfer party at the moment for pure pvp. I have unlike you sever level 80geared chars so don't have to leave my home in Shadowsong altogether.
