Article: 1time versus Kulula

Why does it seem like Kulula has the upper hand here? Normally it is the Airport that makes the rules, not so?

What is the benefit of landing @ Lanseria anyway? The last time I checked, the price was basically the same as Joburg International?

1Time needs to invest in newer planes btw....those Micckie D planes like a 100 years old! *grin*

They were probably dirt cheap though. Funny how an aircraft from the '60s manages to compete with much newer 737-800s etc.

Yea, but the fuel economy must suck compared to the 737 and Airbus A320 planes though. Its a wonder the 1Time planes have not started back firing hehe. But seriously, I have flown with 1Time many times and never had a problem with them.

In my experience, I have always had much better service on 1time flights.
I may have just been unlucky but ALL the kulula flights i've ever flown on have been delayed substantially and ground crew and cabin crew were very rude and unprofessional to the passengers.

I've had the opposite experience. My Kulula flight have all been awesome with entertaining and friendly crew and a generally pleasant experience. 1Time on the other hand has been crap. Plane cleanliness, crew attitudes and even the food on 1Time was ****.

RFOL! @1time, "ekse lietie I will klap you one time!"... wonder who the owners are :D

those MDs that 1Time uses are some of the Best planes ever made. they have been very successful.

@ocleroux: Lanseria is much more convenient if you live in Sandton/Randburg/Krugersdorp/Midrand and even Pretoria.

I'm guessing that Kulula have probably paid a fair amount of money towards the improvements that have been made to Lanseria so they should be allowed to recoup that investment.

Kulula were quite brave to introduce flights from there (the SAA/Airlink/Express juggernaut tried some years ago and failed) and all this noise from 1Time just sounds like whining from a petulant child who has realised that his sibling has more toys that he has.

And if 1Time is whining it also means that they have figured out that there are some advantages to flying from there ...
