Killing someone is a whole separate crime. There is no such thing as 'killing someone with a motor vehicle without a necessary permit' charge. It would be manslaughter, reckless and negligent driving, and driving without a license. Etc.

Obviously it would be manslaughter if it was your fault and even if it was not your fault you may still land up with a manslaughter charge.

Same as speeding, go a certain limit over the limit and you are fine, go 220 in a 80 zone and you may well face a jail term unless you have the cash to get out of it.

Kill someone going 220 in a 80 zone and who knows what you will get given :eek:

Bus driver's should have their licenses suspended. As well as taxi drivers. They can't be employed if it is somewhere on a website that your drivers has been suspended. That way employers can be held responsible for employing people with expired licenses.

As for drunk idiots. Make them sleep it off in a cell for a week.

Who has seen the road side campers? Is it even legal to unload your bus and trailer next to the road, there is people sleeping next to the road.

Exactly. The factors determine mitigation of sentence. Either up or down.
