Article: ANCYL to appeal sanctions

Lawyers representing ANC Youth League leaders will submit appeals applications to the ANC national appeals committee, the Sowetan reported on Thursday.

ANCYL president Julius Malema, league spokesman Floyd Shivambu, deputy president Ronald Lamola, treasurer general Pule Mabe, secretary general Sindiso Magaqa and deputy secretary general Kenetswe Mosenogi were found guilty and sanctioned by the ANC's national disciplinary committee (NDC) two weeks ago.
 
They will submit or they have?

Surely they're coming damn close to the 14 day cutoff timeframe?
 
I don't care about this **** anymore. Can they please report on some real news for once...?
 
It's 14 days today, so in typical grandstand style Malema will leave it to the last day. :mad:

Ahhh but he would appeal his suspension due to some technicality that meant he couldn't submit in the given time frame....

But I would laugh like a little child if the ANC said "Sorry for j00, you missed the deadline, now GTFO"
 
For people that are already in politics, they sure do learn slowly.

The outcome of any political matter in South Africa has already been decided way before any hearings or commissions etc. These are are just formalities, but once the corrupt powers that be have decided on something, that's that and you can appeal all you want to, makes no difference.

Oh and don't missunderstand me, I'm extremely happy that JM and crew got suspended. Just commenting on our politics in general.
