Article: Audi look-alike criticism

A top Audi executive has urged a design overhaul following criticism that the brand is making "look- alike" limousines which differ only in their lengths.

"I've heard heard tangible criticism from some markets and in the case of certain models we are still getting there," said development chief Wolfgang Duerheimer in an interview with Germany's Auto, Motor und Sport magazine.
 
Cant argue with that. Its true, the A4, A5, A7 and A8 are all very similar looking. Especially the A5 vs A7 and A6 vs A8.
 
Audi's are easily the best looking cars on the road at the moment. It would be quite unfortunate if they followed Mercedes and BMW down the design disaster path in order to satisfy some need to differentiate.
 
I'll stick with a car that doesn't attract the wrong kind of attention in South Africa.... and save some money in the deal.
