National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete is inciting violence against the EFF by describing them as thugs and party leader Julius Malema as a cockroach, it said on Sunday.
"No amount of conspiracy theories, intimidation, usage of violence or threats of assassination will deter us from holding this corrupt ANC government accountable," Economic Freedom Fighters spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said in a statement.

I only realised how deep her pockets must be when I read that she was part of the whole Gold Fields scandal (http://mg.co.za/article/2013-09-06-00-investigators-gold-fields-bribed-mbete/). I am so glad that this is actually not an issue, since Zuma said that corruption is not a crime as it is only a "Western paradigm". Perhaps us stuck-up Westerners should try to understand african culture better then

MPS CALL FOR RULING ON 'INSECTS'.
National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete should withdraw her description of Economic Freedom Fighters members as insects and irritants, EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi told MPs on Tuesday.
"She really needs to withdraw her comments on irritants, on insects, and all the violence that she was calling for on honourable members," he said at the start of a joint sitting of Parliament's two Houses to debate last week's state-of-the-nation address.
Ndlozi was referring to reports that Mbete, addressing an African National Congress provincial congress at the weekend, reportedly spoke of "cockroaches like [EFF leader Julius] Malema roaming all over the place".
Ndlozi was joined in his appeal by EFF chief whip Floyd Shivambu, who called on National Council of Provinces chairwoman Thandi Modise to rule on the matter ahead of the debate.
"The Speaker [Mbete] said somewhere that members are cockroaches... and we want that clarified before we proceed," he said.
Responding, Modise provoked laughter among MPs when she told them she was "aware that there is an insect matter which is doing the circles [sic]".
She was also aware that the matter did not happen in the House.
"So that matter, honourable Floyd Shivambu, does not belong to the joint sitting of this Parliament."
At this point, Democratic Alliance chief whip John Steenhuizen rose on a point of order to point out that Mbete herself, when ruling last week to have MPs removed from the House, had relied on comments -- threats of disruption -- that had been made outside this House.
Modise conceded Steenhuizen was right.
"But I do not want to make a precedent of one presiding officer presiding over another presiding officer... I cannot make a ruling and I cannot apologise on behalf of the Speaker.
"What I can do is convey the sentiment and the message of this House to the Speaker."
Rising on a further point of order, Malema then told her: "We want to discuss the state of the nation, and we don't want to cause any problems... don't just reject [this request]. Please take our concerns and raise them with her [Mbete]."
Modise said she would do this.

SAHRC RECEIVES MBETE COMPLAINT
The SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has received a complaint about National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete calling EFF leader Julius Malema a cockroach, it said on Wednesday.
"I can confirm that the SAHRC has received a complaint regarding alleged utterances by Speaker Baleka Mbete, in which she is alleged to have referred to... Malema as 'cockroach'," spokesman Isaac Mangena said.
During Tuesday's debate on President Jacob Zuma's state-of-the-nation address, Economic Freedom Fighters MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said Mbete should withdraw the remark.
Ndlozi was referring to reports that Mbete, addressing an African National Congress North West congress at the weekend, spoke of "cockroaches like Malema".
"If we don't work we will continue to have cockroaches like Malema roaming all over the place," the Mail&Guardian online quoted her as saying.
Mangena said the complaint, laid by a member of the public, was one of hate speech and incitement to violence.
"The commission is assessing the complaint with the view to investigate."

It is irrelevant that Malema called Zille a cockroach. Two wrongs aren't making this right. And yes, pots and kettles protesting too much, hypocrisy abounding blah blah fishpaste.

They brought that up with him in an interview the other day....
He did mention though that at the time they were not both parliamentary members and he was not presiding over parliament.
So there is a slight difference.
