IMO the only ministers that should be allowed to make use of these blue light brigades are Police, Intelligence and Defence.
The only other people to make use of blue light brigade is heads of state. Not even a diplomat. If a diplomat wanted, they can request for a security detail inside their vehicle while traveling by road, no blue lights.
For the life of me will I never understand why the minister of forestry and fisheries needs a vehicle fitted with emergency blue light.
Even if the 3 above mentioned MP's were the only ones having the blue lights, it could still be abused but then when you see them in your rear view mirror you know it might be a real emergency, not some fool thats late for a meeting.
