Article: Beware ANCYL power: Sexwale

Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale has warned the ANC leadership not to underestimate the power and influence of the youth wing president Julius Malema and his executive, according to a report on Monday.
 
The ANCYL are like a tumor, with cancerous parasitic tendrils tainting all it comes into contact with. There are cancerous ANCYL organs in many many places... need to cull this spread.
 
I think tokyo is angry because there political idiot is out, and who will help him get tenders now.

No I think Tokyo was using malema as a crowbar to get zuma out.

I lost respect for Tokyo long time ago, he funded the ANCYL and personally funded Malema all in the name of power.

I agree with this. I think Tokyo is the one that is the one using malema to push for nationalisation of the mines on the quiet. I just find it strange that most of the noise on nationalisation has come when he joined back into the fold of governance and the fact that Tokyo's main focus in business is in the mining sector just makes me hugely suspicious of the fact.

Why would he want nationalisation though?
 
Maybe the mines are nearing the end of their productive lives and/or their profit margins are down?

to me it would just make it easier for him to get the contracts to run the other mines "on behalf of the government" I also think that he probably makes more money supplying to mines, the product and equipment for the mining process than the actual mining itself.

I could be wrong by I just think both him and Winnie have got a hand in all this nationalisation stuff. Malema's too thick to think this up by himself
 
It's politics, why did Tokyo move out of a very successful business (that's made him quite wealthy) to move back into parliament? Simple, he has aspirations of being president, to do that though he needs Zuma and his faction out of power, what better way of doing it than releasing someone like Juju to create instability and party factionalism and leave Zuma looking like a lost fart in an oil drum and unable to deal with the country's real issues?

But why would anyone want to be president of South Africa if he/she is already a billionaire? The only reason is that the said person is not actually a billionaire but someone who is broke. Sexwale is not a billionaire (he is only a billionaire on paper), his companies owe a lot of debt and so he wants mines nationalized so he can be bailed out by us tax payers.
 
Sexwale is being a complete opportunist as usual.

He clearly has the ability to run a country after his successful stint as Gauteng premier. Oh wait...

So you think he could make more than a few billion with nationalization? I am still confused as to why he would want that.

The man is so rich he really doesn't need more money so i highly doubt he is pro nationalization. Not to mention he seems like a rather intelligent business man.

I could be wrong but he would make a good president judging from what i have read on wiki.

Interesting that juju will be appealing but the guys on the appeal board have major stakes in the mining sector :D
