Lower birth rates appear to follow secularization in many cases. Maybe the Norwegian people are awakening to their Darwinian instincts and finding that religion and evolution go hand in hand.

The demise of nation states would be optimal.There's some interesting history behind the conversion of Scandinavia to Christianity and their modern political cohesion. It seems a general trend to me that polytheism and tribalism gives way to the nation state with institutionalised religion. The question is whether the demise of organized religion will coincide with the demise of the nation state. I suspect so. But that's just a hunch.
