Article: Blind students given normal textbooks

Education authorities have defended the distribution of conventional books to a Limpopo school for the blind.

Such books were meant for use by pupils with low vision, said basic education spokeswoman Hope Mokgatlhe on Wednesday.
 
I know at University there are a number of students who can use normal textbooks but need assistance getting around because of low vision; so it is plausible.
 
And the braille books were given to the kids with normal sight.

Well, to be fair. With the current state of education. Normal textbooks probably imply books written in unusually large text and many pictures...
