Article: Capitalism has failed: Numsa

After 20 years of democracy in South Africa it is clear that capitalism has failed, National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) president Andrew Chirwa said on Sunday.

"We are here because we want to change the world in favour of the working class," he said.

when Numsa understand capitalism I will give their opinion more than a glance

They should rather have embraced it and negotiated employee share schemes with the employers all those many years ago. But I guess that would makes the employees less needy of them, so they would not even attempt to do it.

Well, to be fair, the employers could have done it too out of their own free will, like Kumba Iron Ore did (those that striked last year were not part of the scheme.

Chirwa was speaking at Isando in Kempton Park on the East Rand at the official opening of a week-long Numsa political school.
I can picture it now, scores of people graduating from the week long 'school' with a piece of paper demanding to run the economy, business and occupy the highest positions en-mass

Not even long enough into the "young democracy" like the foreigners like to say but they are declaring capitalism a failure? Should I go out now and work for the benefit of all people in SA? Don't f8n think so. :wtf:
Marxism or communism might please most of our dumb and lazy ass citizens in SA ultimately.

So on the one hand they admit that the ANC has failed them, but then go on to blame capitalism in the next breath. Morons...

this.

They should stop voting ANC first.. and then worry about capitalism..

No, they need to appeal to the poor masses, shunning capitalism is a great thing to do (it also diverts attention from NUMSA's own failures)
