Article: "Chokers" to arrive back in SA today

South Africa's cricketers will see the dreaded "chokers" term in nearly every newspaper headline they look at when the squad returns home Saturday night following another World Cup failure.

From Oxford Dictionary:

Pronunciation:/ˈtʃəʊkə/
noun

1 a necklace or band of fabric that fits closely around the neck.
dated a clerical or other high collar.
2 North American - a cable looped round a log to drag it
3 an extremely upsetting experience:saying our farewells
4 a sports player [or team] who fails to perform at a crucial point as a result of nervousness

If they were to publish an illustrated dictionary they could use a team photo of the Proteas for the entry. Yes, calling them chokers has become hollow and clichéd, but it has never rung more true. Don't want the label? Stop blerrie choking... Simple.

There are 15 gifts waiting for them... exquisitely engraved!

man they seriously disappointed
if 5 wickets fall in 110 balls, its choking, there's no other word for it
if someone failed like this for so long in the business field, they'd have been discarded long ago.

seriously, get rid of smith. quickly.
i know he quit the captaincy, but he's had a very bad run with the bat as well.
get him back on provincial level to prove himself there first

Perhaps its a good thing, we would've just been embarrassed by sri lanka

To show just how much I still support South African cricket, I went out for a couple of drinks last night. Had to call it quits very quickly cause I kept choking on them
