Article: Department concerned over water quality

Water and Environmental Affairs Minister Buyelwa Sonjica says her department is concerned about the impact of deteriorating water quality in the country and has called on role players to come up with ways to avert the situation.

the local government municipalities were too busy enriching themselves and neglecting the water infrastructure and growth requirements.

Now that the water systems have deteriorated so badly... they are looking for a scape goat... and way to make money out of the needed repair work at the tax payers expense.

It's the ANC way of doing things.

Everything this government has touched has has turned into schit!

Wasn't this is the very same "brain surgeon" who told us not long ago in true style that there was no concern at all. She featured in a Carte Blance insert on this very subject and assured us that they were having meetings to discuss plans for further committees to be drawn up to finalise meetings to assemble a task force to deal with this. And yet, in the end, she just sat on her butt doing bugger-all but shovel a free salary in her gatsak? Well, who'd a thunk it?

Eish, but NOW we have a water problem, ladies and gentlemen. I sense a high pressure apartheid scapegoat moving in with a moderate to certain chance of scattered finger pointing and crap in our tap water. Welcome to the jungle!

gosh iu remember them cleaning the geezer a few weeks ago wow, full of sand. 5 mo old .

is this normal?

Now, maybe. Back then, probably not.

Pretty soon people will be installing carbon/uv/RO filters to the water mains coming into their homes.

Curse you, you damn apartheid bastards! Agents!

When will the ghosts of apartheid stop messing up our country? They just destroy everything. We need the GhostBusters (tm)!

Funny you mentioned that. I have a carbon filter fitted to my mains. I also have a seperate KDF filter fitted to the cold water in my kitchen. I have no faith in JHB water I'm even scared to bath my son in it, that is why I installed the carbon filter. :(

Lyk my die ANC het gif onder hulle voete.

Ya, gif with the pH value of lemon juice -- and it's rising toward the JHB surface at quite a rate. Watch the apartheid card come out in full swing when we've got heavy metal-laden toxic vinegar flowing out of the ground.

In a number of carefully controlled trials here in SA,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed
More than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
Found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poo..

However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
(or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor)
Because alcohol has to go through a purification process
Of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poo,
Wine = Health.
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of ****.

As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service!

Great one

Great I like it
