Article: Drunk biker caught doing 201km/h

We don't care how big your penis is, promise :)

The point is that many bikers have (validly) tried to clear up the misconception that most bikers behave like douches, but incidents like the one in the OP don't do much to sway public opinion, and if you are involved in an accident then chances are that you're not the only one who will die. And don't give me that nonsense that drivers don't care or aren't alert when it comes to bikers - you know the risks, and accidents do happen, hence why they're called "accidents".

yea i agree with you on this 1, dont know why you think im against you:?

im fully aware of the risks associated hence the reason why i say i never travel over 120km an hour on a bike ON THE ROAD. On a track sure ill go all out without any problems and i have many times and fallen many times.

There is a full chance that more than just i can die if I was going fast as in the OP post. i agree so why all the rage?

the only thing i dont agree with in your post is that - And don't give me that nonsense that drivers don't care or aren't alert when it comes to bikers - you know the risks, and accidents do happen, hence why they're called "accidents".

One day i was riding, standing up on the footpegs, lights on with brights coming up a road, the guy about to turn could clearly see me, there was nothing in the road other than myself. do you know when he decides to pull off? when im about 10-20m away from him.. there are a lot of drivers that are not alert and not looking for bikes, especially taxi's.

Getting on a bike on the road certainly means there is a chance of an accident and getting on the bike means you accept that hence again the reason i said i dont go faster than 120km on a road.

You sound like someone in high school who needs to prove himself. I believe you when you say ure good on track. Thats fine and I am sure you will kick my behind.

Im just saying, if you are over confident and think you are untouchable on the road, you are in for one m0erse surprise.

Oh and I wouldnt take Sheridan Morais as a yardstick for ability, the guy is so out of his league. He was just in the right place at the right time and new the right people. Thats how a lot of racers get into racing, not through raw talent as one might think.

you might be right, i never once said im god on the road tho? all im saying is I personally dont go over 120km on the road and you called BS. my argument is the exact same as your reasons if you look at my posts. i dont think im god and i know all the risks associated so why would i go over 120km on the road. I understand where you are coming from but when it got into personal attack mode i would have to retaliate.

As for sheridan morais, he is leagues ahead of anybody in this country at this point. He actually was a VERY talented rider back in the 50cc days and after a year or 2 when he started beating me he actually taught me a lot. Yes he was very lucky, my dad and his dad were possibly best friends in school and we both got into racing together. Sheridan definitely did get the luckiness in terms of sponsors and im sure i could be where he is if my opportunities were the same :)

not looking for fights was just simply stating i have never gone over 120km on the road due to all the risks? so hard to beleive?

Almost all those pictures are faked. They take cars that have been in accidents then put a bike in there. That type of damage to a car and the bike is in one piece? My brother got hit by a car pulling away from a Stop sign and his bike looked worse. That car most likely spun and hit a pole. How doe you loose a bumber and dent you hood from a side impact?

It may be fake, tbh I just linked a google image, however your logic is flawed. Your brother got hit by a car and not the other way around. That bike is most definitely not in one piece. It is also inside the vehicle, my guess is that the bike and the car spun around after impact and that could easily explain any bumper and hood damage. Thats not taking into account any other vehicles that may have been involved.

I know this kind of thing is possible because I have seen something similar with my own eyes.

Never ever ever ever over 120? Ure a saint then and i take it all back :P

not on the road, im honestly too ***** scared to do it:p ... ive seen way to many bad things happen on the road and i still someday wish to get to the same place as sheridan instead of working for an IT company.

EDIT: on a track, many times ive gone over the 120 mark, lol our 50cc's almost standard at kyalami down the hill used to do around 150km/h.

I occasionally veer over 120 km/h, it's impossible to keep your eyes on the speedo all the time while driving/riding. There's nothing wrong with admitting to the occasional transgression, nobody's going to bite your head off or report you to the po-po :)

yea yea i know, im just a bit of a granny while on the road if you want to call it that. ive been in a car and had a head on collision at 120km an hour, so trust me i know the pain. Im not sure how im still here but guess its lucky, also another reason why in my car on the highway im the guy getting passed going at 90km/h :p

EDIT: I was not driving and thank god for that, the driver had all broken legs, i was in the back so maybe thats how i survived, the other car had 3 dead instantly

The one thing u must never allow to happen on a bike is having cars come past u all the time. That is lesson nr 2. This way u can only ever have danger coming from ahead of you. I learned that early on. Always go 5-10% faster than the cars around you. Even if they are doing 120. I feel much safer that way

Got to make it more than that charna, otherwise the fskers have time to cut you off ;)

lol all the hate from you guys, actually i used to race motorbikes, not just ride them on the road and think i have l337 skills, Im am fully aware of the accidents and damage bikes can cause and i myself have had many broken bones from falling off bikes while in a safe environment on the track,

Infact growing up I was never allowed to ride on the road because lets face it car drivers 90% of the time just dont look out for bike riders.

Disagree with my statement above or not i really couldnt care. I have seen this for myself and I have missed idiots that just pull out infront of you MANY times, not that any of it was my fault, i saw it happening because luckily my reactions from racing for my whole life are much quicker than a usual road bike rider. I have NOT gone over 120km an hour on the road on a bike because I have seen what its like getting hit by a truck and losing a leg (a female friend of mind had this happen), I will ANYDAY of the week rather travel to the track where i cant fall off and get hit by a car/truck or hit a pole or a pavement. There are no idiotic jay walkers anywhere and yes i have been knocked over in the middle of the road by a dumbass jaywalker and i could do absolutely nothing to dodge it even with my reaction times.

@Rakabos3, lol you troll.... do you even know me? how can you call BS and you have never met me.. only a troll.

@samr1wp - i actually am riding a scooter now(well i call them pitbikes cos they great for using at the racing in the pits but now pitbikes are those tiny friggen things) which is still pretty quick but not anything like the 400 suzuki (the one i used to race, got to around 220km/h on the track). honestly the reason for this is a scooter is MUCH cheaper on maintenance than other bikes and is also smaller and easier to navigate traffic.

again, say all you want, your opinions really dont affect me in anyway or reflect how i ride my bikes/scooters/cars.. Just cos im young does not mean i fall into the same category as every other sheep out there.. I treasure my life and I find there is no reason to have to go 120km + on the road in a car or bike.

+1

That guy drinking and doing 200+ is a muppet.
I was almost knocked over yesterday by a F#$ing taxi on N2 outgoing from town. Was bumper to bumper and I was going between right most lane and middle lane - about 40-60 km/h. Dick head just started coming over, left to right, as soon as I was next to him - towards rear of the taxi. I hooted and hooted and he just ignored it and kept on coming over - ****ing ass :( Had to go right and was pushed into curb and eventually stalled from the hard braking.
Luckily I'm still here and emerged unscathed ;)
I'd like to mount a little steel bar on the handle bar for these ****ers - go past and take out a few windows :(

@ m4dh4tt3r

Oh and btw - hitting something solid at 120 - don't kid yourself, you most likely won't survive it

yea sad but true... exactly why i ride a scooter now on the road instead of a bike.. Although to be honest im not sure which one is more of a death trap. Atleast the bike has the power to get you out of sticky situations sometimes.... I dont really like riding on the road at all but i just cant afford petrol everyday in a car, its just too crazy(or atleast with my car, got an old golf 2 but the thing munches petrol.. uses like R1 a km for a 1300..)
