Article: Fight climate change: Zuma

All South Africans should play an active role in the global fight against climate change, President Jacob Zuma said on Friday.

"If all sectors implement the measures to fight climate change at the same time, together we can build the biggest mitigation buffer against climate change. We can save our country and the world for future generations," he said in Pretoria.

Wasn't there a link yesterday to an article where he wants to drill for oil all over the show and ignore our commitment to reducing carbon emissions?

He doesn't even understand the storm brewing over Nkandla, now he wants to pretend he understands global weather?

Well that dense cloud of smog hanging over Jburg, which can be seen about 100km away, doesn't help our cause. The factories here just do what they want to the environment. So in the interests of self preservation, you might want to start there.

I personally would find it exciting to witness our fearless chief lead by example, and take on the coming Lightning Birds with all his powers:

You really think what he said yesterday has anything to do with what he says today?

... actually I don't think he'd recognise a consistent policy if it bit him on the arse

Its like a puppet reading some statement each day, maybe hes an animatronic and the real zuma is on a beach somewhere in china.

Give the poor the houses you promised so they don't have to burn tyres to keep warm and stop stealing their money you d@@s

Thank goodness we have governments to Fight Climate Change! It's simply old-fashioned to think governments exist to fight crime and protect rights. Especially now that the criminals are the government.

Governments should commandeer all possible resources to ward off the Greatest Threat Ever To Humanity And Life As We Know It.

Of course taxes should be doubled, if that's what it takes. Even better, simply nationalise everything, shut down the carbon economy, abolish private property, and give people pocket money for bread and circuses.

Anything less will have no effect.
