Article: Govt is fighting corruption: Manyi

Government is on top of the situation when it comes to fighting corruption wherever it exists within its ranks, says Cabinet spokesman Jimmy Manyi.

Addressing the Press Club on World Press Day, Manyi said government had a zero tolerance on corruption and was on "top of the game" in the fight against that.
 
This reminds me of the story of the boy who cried 'wolf'.

Thats rich coming from Manyi, who himself should have been arrested and charged with corruption, intead he was redeployed and promoted by the ANC.

The first step in serious corruption-fighting would be to jail half the ANC top brass for taking bribes during the arms deal and that hasn't happened yet.
Thus no, Manyi's just speaking out of his elections-in-the-pipeline-arse again they are not fighting corruption, they ARE corruption.

Oh that was another top of game fight against corruption where allegations by the Norwegian Ambassador were quashed when it was revealed that Manyi tried to solicit a business deal from said ambassador during an official meeting.
Manyi was the director-general of the Labour Department at the time, before he was suspended by former labour minister Membathisi Mdladlana.

I said he should have been arrested but this was swiftly swept under the carpet by the ANC and nothing has come of it, instead he was mad the spokesperson for the cabinet. That about typifies what corruption is and makes it more ironic when Jimmy spews his nonsense.
