Article: Govt serious about tackling corruption - Zuma

Government is doing its best to put an end to the wastage of public resources and corruption, says President Jacob Zuma.

Speaking at a celebration marking the Centenary of the Office of the Auditor-General on Thursday evening, Zuma noted a number of initiatives that showed government was serious about tackling corruption.

First show proof of that you really are serious.

Otherwise I'll treat it as just more hot air.

Mr President, your track record speaks for itself.

If you're really serious, get rid of your cronies, appoint competent people, and bring the Scorpions back.

Oh, and fire corrupt people - don't just keep them on with a salary...

Yes, and sardines are marsupials, live in trees and eat pencils.

Uhh, how will we know if the corruption has decreased / seized - if the investigative journalists may not report on infractions by your cabinet - mmm, Mr President ?

One thing is being serious about something and actually doing something about it.

He said this a few weeks ago. He said it a few months ago. And he said it before then as well. Guess what.

Nothing changed.

When I read the title I thought this was a necro from 2009.

How does this nonce conjure up the audacity to even say stuff like this at this point? Sure zoom-zoom. Whatever, pal.

It's like a serial axe murderer with weapon poised to strike saying he'll be cutting down on the killing just as soon as he's done with this one.

Useless numbnuts that he is..

YOu can be as serious as you want to.. your actions unfortunately speak considerably louder than words, and your actions as a party show that you endorse and encourage corruption and are willing to go to almost any lengths to cover it up.

Ummmm.... how about starting with your buddy that you just appointed as your spokesman? He's just down the passageway!!!

I actually believe him.

They are very serious about corruption, so much so that they pushed through a secrecy bill that will make it seem that corruption is a thing of the past.

On the one hand you can resolve a problem the correct (and hard) way, on the other hand you can make the problem "go away".

Guess what option they chose

Government is serious about hiding corruption. Thats all.

Msholozi has been trolling the MyBB forums enough to learn some valuable debating tricks following the secrecy bill:

Bra Zuma: "Corruption? What corruption? Pics or it's a lie!"

A guy that used his position to dogde 700+ counts of corruption charges, saying that they're serious about tackling corruption. Yeah riiiiiiiiiight .. weather must be great in la-la land today.
