Article: Greed and corruption devouring ANC: Mantashe

Greed and corruption in the ANC are devouring the party, ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe said, according to a report on Wednesday.

The African National Congress had to ensure it rooted out greed and corruption so that its members were people of value, Mantashe said in Richmond, KwaZulu-Natal, on Tuesday, according to a report in The Times.

Tell us, the world, the martians and the wooly people under the ground something we don't already know, jeez these guys are stupid.

Sounds great but as usual it'll get worse and will not improve. Blow hot air up zumas @ss not mine.

nothing can be done until the leader of the organisation is beyond reproach ... which does not seem like it will be anytime soon
its pointless complaining about the other members when the man in front of you is the root cause of the problem and the one showing the other members the way

Is he going to resign then? I mean...pot calling kettle black much?

That would require actual work to be done, not going to happen.

More than the work, it would require sanctioning of people who are well connected and popular, so definitely not going to happen.

Ramaphosa is our main man. He will sort lot of stuff.

He will change nothing that you want him to change. Labour law might get a bit relaxed in this country, but the corruption and greed will not be touched because it is so entrenched in the way the party works now that it is unchangeable.

He will do his own bit of second round benefiting if you ask me.

Why would they want to blow the easy money scheme they got running.. ?

And tell us something we don't know.

Good. Now work on correcting this issues. And aim of helping the masses.

By saying "ANC has corruption" is good and all, but to make such a public statement but such a high official means he must know who the "mice" are (ie. how can you say there is corruption unless you know of the corruption). I would like him, or any other ANC person, to highlight how they believe there is corruption and which areas are suspected of corruption. Until they start talking about specifics I remain skeptic when it comes to "correcting this issues".

Sad, but some people warned us this would happen under the ANC. Also, can't see the same people that have created the problem being able/willing to solve it. This country is farked!
