Hope she does a better job than AfriForum. But TBH looking through her tweets she does seem to want to stir the situation rather than resolve it.
 
Seems odd that The Sowetan editiors ran with the story in the first place. Don't editors READ before publishing. I am pretty sure there is some other devisive agenda on the cards yet again. Typical SA, divide and conquer, us vs them, Black vs White.

Well it's really black vs black here as both paper's target audience are middle-class blacks. The only difference is one is owned by Naspers...

I tend to scour over all online media. The Sowetan is one of them.

Its not just about Black vs Black. There is so much hatred going on and the media loves to fuel this anger.

Yeah but in terms of physical newspapers, the Sowetan & City Press are targetted at the same group and there isn't thaat much difference in terms of readers.
 
good, she should sue the pants off him. His comment about the likes of her being necklaced in the 80's is a direct incitement of violence towards her.

Johannesburg - The Sowetan's acting editor Len Maseko has taken full responsibility for Eric Miyeni's column and has resigned, its publisher Avusa said on Wednesday.

"Although Maseko was on leave at the time, he accepts the consequences of this lapse in the paper's judgment, which allowed the column to appear in one of the country's finest publications," the company's editor-in-chief Mondli Makhanya said in a statement.

If the gravy train riders had any conscience and followed his example we would have no government.

A story like this would definitely fall under the new censorship law.
Government cannot afford to have people thinking that resignation is the correct course of action after a foul-up.

A pity it will go over the heads of most of the target audience
