We shall have to wait until the investigation is complete to establish whether he was in fact suffering from depression, and if so, how long he had been on this current course of SSRIs, whether GermanWings knew that he was receiving treatment for depression, and what light his psychiatrist [if there is some legal way around patient-doctor confidentiality] can shed on his condition, and whether his family noticed anything out of the ordinary.
Having been on various antidepressants [both MOAs and SSRIs] since my teens, I acknowledge that there are side effects.
