Article: How to avoid hijacking

The Automobile Association released tips for motorists on Thursday on how to limit the chances of being hijacked.

"Leaving your passenger window open just a fraction may prevent smash and grab incidents as it makes the glass more flexible, allowing the window to absorb the sudden impact of someone trying to break it," spokesman Gary Ronald said.

Don't leave valuable out in the open, bag on the seat, GPS in the window if you not using it, etc.. And always watch for areas of low visibility around traffic lights, like high grass or concrete embankments.

Pretty basic stuff..

Has anyone told the AA that smash and grabs are not hijackings?

Or are they all drunk?

Oh, it's not that AA - easy mistake to make.

People should know this already!

They should but people are incredibly Dof when it comes to driving around unaware of what is going on around them.

Just look at the other people in the traffic around you on the way to work, and you might realise that...:p
